George Orwell's timelines

George Orwell

The timelines: 

1903   - George Orwell was born .
1911   - George went to St Cyprian's School .
1917  - George won a scholarship to Eton.

1912  - George joined the British police in Burma.

1927  - George had resigned .

1928  - George went to paris .

1932_1933  - Orwell worked as a teacher .

1933   - Orwell's first book was published.

1934  1- Orwell got a part time job (bookshop).
          2-Orwell's novel (Burmese days) was published.

1935  - Orwell's novel (A Clergyman's daughter) was                           published.

1936  - Orwell's novel(keep the Aspidistra Flying) was published.

1936 1- Orwell get married.
         2- Commissioned to write about poverty.

1936 (December)  1- Fight in the Spanish civil war .
                              2- wounded in the throat.
                              3- Forced to flee from Spain.

1937   "The Road to Wigan Pier" was published.

1938  1- "A Homage to Catalonia" was published (Britain).
          2-  suffered from tuberculosis.

1938-1939  - spent the winter in morocco.

1939  1- "Coming Up For Air" was published.
          2- rejected for the military service.

1941-1943 - worked for the BBC.

1943   - become literary editor for the Tribune                                                 (magazine).

1945  -  "Animal Farm " was published.


1949  - his novel "1984" was publiched.
          - his health was failing .
          - got married again .

1950  - Orwell died (46 years ).
